Bio:
Doug joined KZF Design in 1989 after studying architecture at the University of Cincinnati. He continues his long history of work with various federal clients through his years as a project manager and as Director for KZF's Government and Justice Group. His project experience includes renovation projects and new construction for a variety of building types, including court facilities, corrections facilities, educational institutions, office/administration, laboratories and housing buildings. He also has experience in master planning and programming and has extensive experience with federal clients including all branches of the Department of Defense, the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
More recently, Doug was responsible for the overall project management of the design team of the Secure Women's Facility in Hazelton, WV. This new $69M, 250,000 SF 512-bed low-security women's facility is located on a 990-acre site adjacent to the US Penitentiary at Hazelton, previously designed by KZF as well.
Doug also managed the design of the US TRANSCOM facility at Scott Air Force Base, IL. This 215,000 SF, $83M project includes the US Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, planning and analysis components of the USAF Tanker Airlift Control Center and TRANSCOM Deployment and Distribution Operations Center. |
